Jack Allen Carson, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019. He was born on November 19, 1935 in Justin, Texas to William Carson and Ollie Mae (Judkins) Carson. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved birds, birdhouses, fishing, gardening, and his family. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Carson; and parents, William and Ollie Carson; brothers, Walter N. Carson and Billy Joe Carson; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carson and Marjorie Carson Tharp; granddaughter, Melanie Rachelle Mitchell; and nephew, Larry Zane Shelton.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Ginger Luttrell and husband Johnny, James D. Golden Jr., Gary Golden and wife Judy, Rex Carson and wife Paula, Sarah Richardson and husband Charlie; grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and husband Kevin of Minnesota, Jamie Golden Upshaw of Washington, Misty Smitherman and husband Larry of Mansfield, James D. Golden III of Red Oak, Jill Golden of Fort Worth, Sara Carson of Fort Worth, Haley Carson of New York, Jessica Hendricks and husband David of Lake Havasou, Arizona, Clayton McDaniel of Mansfield, Charlie D. Richardson IV of Addison, Harrison Hill; great grandchildren, Emalee Miller of Minnesota, Shelby Miller Vold and husband Kaleb of Minnesota, Amy Miller of Minnesota, Julia Miller of Minnesota, Brooke Smitherman Wallace and husband Phil of Mansfield, Trey Smitherman, Tracy Lee Upshaw of Minnesota, Azul Hill, Abel Hill, Lyanna Golden of Red Oak, Jude Carson of Fort Worth; great great grandchildren, Jackson Vold of Minnesota, Brody Tarrant of Mansfield, Riley Tarrant of Mansfield.

Funeral service for Jack will be Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 11:00AM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends for visitation Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
