Jimmy Don Roberson, 73, passed away on May 11, 2023, at Bristol Park Memory Care in Cleburne, Texas. He was born on December 2, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas to Donald Wesley and Mary Dolores Woods Roberson.

J D grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from Poly Tech in Fort Worth in 1968. He played several sports but excelled in football.  Sophomore year he was voted a class favorite finalist.  Junior year he was voted class favorite.  As a senior, J D was voted Mr. Poly for his great smile and outgoing personality. After high school he attended North Texas University with a full 4-year football scholarship.  JD became a successful businessman and was a mentor to many. He was an avid golfer, loved to fish, loved the beach, and loved Texas music, but most of all loved his family and friends.  JD was heavily involved in the Fort Worth Syndicate for many years.

JD married Debbie Chambers in 2000 in Rainbow, Texas. They were happily married for 23 years.

JD was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dolores Roberson; newborn daughter, Wendy Renee Roberson; step-daughter, Jenny Michelle Newton; and step-son Ryan Chad Newton.

JD is survived by his loving wife Debbie Roberson of Nemo, Texas; son Dustin Wade Roberson (wife Samantha); step-son David Maserang (wife Renee); step-son Bobby Maserang; step-daughter Patty Ryan (husband Tim); father Donald Wesley Roberson; brother Charles Wesley Roberson (wife Cassie); sister Debra Sue Lehman; sister Dianna Estell Prince (husband Mark); grandchildren Lilly, Harper, Dylan, Layne, Landrye, Zac, Blake, Tim, Dustin, Ryland, Brooke and Molly. An abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park on Sunday, May 14th. The family will be greeting friends and relatives from 3:00 until 5:00.  The funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 2:00 on Monday, May 15th. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Concho Hearts Hospice, with a very special thank you to Abby Wendt. Also, Bristol Park Assisted Living and Memory Care, with a very special thank you to all of the Med Techs and Resident Aides.
