Robert Harold Pierce, aged 78, passed away on March 5, 2023, at The Watermark in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was born on May 25, 1944, in Pensacola, Florida, to Thomas William Pierce, Sr., and Lillie Mae Fountain Pierce.

Robert grew up in Pensacola, Florida.  He graduated from Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida.  After high school he earned an A.S. Degree from Pensacola Junior College in 1965 and attended Florida State University where he earned a B.S. Degree in Finance in 1967. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served for two years.  He served during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of several service medals.  He was honorably discharged in 1969, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.  He began working for Gulf Power and Light, and then went into pharmaceutical sales for Westwood Pharmaceuticals until 1987 when he joined Galderma as a National Account Manager and retired in 2009 after 22 years.

Robert married Laura Anne Boehl in 1966 in Pensacola, Florida.  They were happily married for 56 years.  Robert enjoyed playing golf, fishing, reading, spending time with family, and he demonstrated his Christian faith in his actions and relationships.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas William Pierce, Sr. and Lillie Mae Fountain Pierce in addition to his eldest brother, Thomas William Pierce, Jr.

Robert is survived by his spouse, Laura B. of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Bradley T. and wife (Kimberly A.) of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Amy E. and husband (Curt K.) of Austin, Texas; four grandsons, Jacob T. and Nathan M. of Fort Worth, Texas; Leoden P. and Sigursen P. of Austin, Texas; brother, Winston E. and wife (Rebecca K.) of Tallahassee, Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W. Pleasant Ridge Rd. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10 A.M., immediately followed by a Military Flag Ceremony and the Rite of Committal and Burial at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd., Kennedale TX, 76060.  A Visitation and Rosary will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 7 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Friday, March 17, 2023.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Ataxia Foundation (www.ataxia.org) honoring Robert H. Pierce.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the caregivers, nurses, doctors, staff and administrators who cared for Robert, including those at The Watermark, HomeWatch Caregivers, and Gateway Hospice.  Robert demonstrated every day, "Do to others as you would have them do to you.", Luke 6:31, and always believed in treating others with kindness and patience.
