AZLE -- Albin "Al" Fischer, 76, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at a local care center.
Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
Albin Fischer was a loving husband of 54 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who proudly served as a sergeant during the Korean War, earning the Purple Heart as well as others. He was Daddy, Paw Paw and "Santa Claus" to many children. He decided before he passed that he was a "BLT" which he says means "blessed, loved and thankful." He gave those three things to everyone he met.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Fischer of Azle; daughters, Pamela McCoy and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, Susan Fischer of Fort Worth, Lisa Wood and husband, Gerald, of Fort Worth, and Toni Jackman and husband, Jasen, of Azle; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gus Fischer of Granbury.
