Alfred Lee Crane Jr., 92, of Burleson, Texas, made his entrance into heaven on December 10, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. He was born on May 27, 1933, in Kennedale, Texas, to Alfred Lee Sr. and Velma Elizabeth Crane. Alfred graduated from Trimble Tech High School in 1950. He attended and received an Associate’s degree from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas in 1953. He taught wielding and other construction related classes at various locations with the Fort Worth ISD. Alfred spent many years as an iron worker, and supervisor at various construction jobs in the DFW metroplex, Illinois, Indiana, Mexico and South America. Projects included, Ridgmar Mall, Summit Building, DFW Airport, Cullen Davis’s house, large office buildings Downtown Fort Worth, and bridges across the USA. Later, he worked as a maintenance specialist at a boxing company in Grand Prairie. Through the years, Alfred, owned several Income Tax offices, laundromats, and auto leasing companies across the metroplex. Alfred’s hobbies included gambling, traveling, and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Crane, and his daughter, Tambra Gene Allen. Alfred is survived by his son, Alfred Crane III, (wife Alisha) of Burleson; son, David Crane, (wife Donna) of Gainesville; daughter, Rena Hutton, (husband Fred) of Gainesville: son Daniel Crane of Texarkana; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many loving family and friends.
Family and Friend Viewing: 1-2pm Monday, December 15, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2pm in the chapel at Emerald Hill Funeral Home, Kennedale, TX.
