Alvis “Buster” DeWayne Higginbotham, 69, passed away on April 23, 2022, peacefully in his home in Arlington, Texas. He was born on September 17, 1952, in Palestine, Texas, to Alvis and Edna Mae Higginbotham. He attended Palestine High School. Buster married Rhonda Thomas in Palestine, Texas, and they were happily married for 48 years. Buster’s favorite place to be was at his farm in Palestine, Texas, surrounded by his family. He had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He also told the best stories and could fill any room with laughter. Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Edna Mae Higginbotham, and his sister, Florine Higginbotham. Buster is survived by his loving wife Rhonda; his daughters and son-in-law: Shelly Watkins and Jennifer and Mark Mullen; his grandchildren: Amanda and Joshua Jeffus, Dakota Kernodle, Mabrie Mullen, Allie Mullen, and Kaden Mullen; his two great grandchildren: Stetson Johnson and Dylan Kernodle; his loving sisters: Ella Mae McKinney, Ander Jean Berryhill, and Laverne Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the family and friends who have shown so much kindness and love during this time.
