Auburn Gary Hendry passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. Auburn Gary Hendry was born on June 17, 1967 in Fort Worth Texas, to Carlton Hendry and Alice Capps.
Auburn G. Hendry grew up in Fort Worth and graduated with honors from North Side High School. While he was in high school, Auburn worked at Winn Dixie as a stocker and continued working for Food Lion and Safeway, as a manager. He also worked for Tom Thumb in management, and as a director. Auburn held many positions through his entire career for over 30 years and retired in 2023.
Auburn G. Hendry and partner Marco A. Delgado met in 1989 in Fort Worth, Texas and were happily together for over 36 years. They enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling and stock car racing in Kennedale, Texas. Auburn (Gary) was very kind, quiet, and loved by many friends and family members.
Auburn G. Hendry was preceded in death by his parents Carlton Hendry, Alice Capps, and his brother Carlton Hendry. He is survived by his partner Marco A. Delgado, sister Alicia Capps, nephews Billy, Calvin and Jonathan, and great nephews, Austen, Dylan, Roger, Easton, Colin, and Link.
