Billy (Bill) Joe Fulmer, 81, passed away on March 22, 2023 at his home in North Richland Hills, TX surrounded by his family. He was born on December 10, 1941 in Pittsburg, TX to Joe and Ruby Irene Dobbs Fulmer.
Bill grew up in Agnes, TX. He graduated from Springtown High School in Springtown, TX in 1960 and was the salutatorian. After high school he attended Weatherford Junior College where he received an associate’s degree. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in 1982. Bill was drafted into the Army in 1963 and served for 2 years. Afterwards he began working for General Dynamics followed by General Motors as a Maintenance Coordinator. He retired in 2006 after 34 years. He was a founding member of Lone Star Region Vintage Chevrolet Club of America and was a past director.
Bill married Dianne in 1969 in Springtown, TX. They were happily married for 53 years. He enjoyed working on his antique Chevrolet cars and cheering on TCU in football.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ruby Irene, and sister Sherry Seaman.
Bill is survived by his spouse, Dianne of North Richland Hills, TX; his son, Troy Fulmer of Pleasanton, TX; daughter, Tracy and son- in-law Clint Madewell of Bedford, TX; his sister, Ruby and brother-in-law Tony Diaz of North Richland Hills, TX; his grandchildren, Troy Fulmer, II, Ryan Fulmer and Claire Madewell; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A Graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 3pm, Monday, March 27, 2023. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 2pm, Monday, March 27th.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Medical City North Hills 5th floor nursing staff and Emergency Room staff for all their support over the years. Also, thank you to Fresenius- Keller for caring for Bill and all his doctors and staff.
