ARLINGTON -- Bobby Ray Rumbo, 73, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at a local hospice.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Donation can be made to Universal Health Resources Hospice Fund, 1208 Country Club Lane, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
Bobby Ray was born May 14, 1935, in Eldorado, Okla. He married Patricia Hughes in 1955. Bobby worked for Martin K. Eby Construction Co. for over 35 years. He and Pat raised two children. After retiring, he volunteered countless hours for hospice and his church. He loved helping others. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He will be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; son, Michael Ray; father, Jack Rumbo; mother, Alvis Rumbo; and brothers, Marvin and Roy Rumbo.
Survivors: Daughter, Kathy Walls; grandchildren, Ivette Rumbo, Amie Rumbo Wermuth, Lori Rumbo, Douglas Rumbo, Phillip Walls and Kimberley Walls; great-grandchildren, Joshua Walls, Adrian, Michael, Avery, Austin Wermuth, Jameson, Jazmin, B.J. Jada and Tori Rumbo; sister, Peggy Rumbo; special friend and devoted companion, Arlyne Clements; and a host of friends and neighbors.
