Obituary

Charles Wayne Williamson, 82, passed away on July 15, 2026, at Avalon Memory Care in Arlington, Texas. He was born on May 26, 1944, in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to W.C. and Laurene Williamson.

Charles grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas, and graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1962. After graduating, he began his career with Lone Star Gas Company, where he remained until his retirement.

Family was the center of Charles's life. He loved spending time with those he cared about, whether it was going to the movies with his wife Linda, his sister, Brenda, his lifelong best friend, Danny Stayton, or his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed attending Dallas Cowboys games, taking family trips to the Texas State Fair, and traveling with his wife, Linda, and close friends Danny and Betty Stayton. Charles and Danny shared a friendship that began in childhood and lasted a lifetime. They were regulars at No Frills Grill in Arlington, where they enjoyed catching up over a beer while watching sports.

Above all else, Charles loved his wife, Linda. He cared for her with a level of love and dedication that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew them.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Williamson, and his brother, John Puckett.

He is survived by his brother, Duane Puckett; his sister, Brenda Ketner, and brother-in-law, Jim Ketner; his niece, Tawnya Cowart; his nephew, Greg Tennison, and wife, Michelle Tennison; his great-nephew, Clinton Hendricks, and wife, Emily Hendricks, and their children Kinley, Braxton, John, and Cooper; his great-nephew, Rodeny Hendricks; and his great-niece, Alissa Hendricks-Wenger, and husband, William Wenger.

Charles will be remembered for his quiet kindness, unwavering loyalty, and the love he showed to his family and friends.
