Chester Roberts

Chester Dale Roberts was born in Fort Worth, Texas on April 4, 1955.  He grew up in Kennedale where he attended school and later earned his G.E.D.

As a child, Chester was a Kennedale Cat mascot with his sister for the High School Football Team.  He was a Boy Scout, played on a Kennedale Baseball Team, and attended bible class at the Kennedale Church of Christ.  Chester was baptized into Christ in the early 70’s at the Forest Hill Church of Christ.

His occupation was as a roofer but worked many types of jobs.

Chester passed away on Tuesday, June 22 at 4:30 am while at the Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

Chester is the son of Bobby Dale Roberts, who proceeded him in death on Sept 2, 2014, and Phyllis Marie (Pearce) Roberts.  He is survived by two siblings- Pamela Jean (Roberts) Wood and Bobby Eugene Roberts of Kennedale, Texas.  Pam lives in Garland, Texas with husband, Jim Wood.  Chester had 2 daughters Wendy and Katie of Georgia, 4 granddaughters, and 1 great-granddaughter.  He is also survived by an Aunt and several Uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins from both sides of the family.

Chester had a kind heart and would give to others when he had very little himself.

There will be no traditional funeral service.  Interment will be at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, Kennedale, Texas. His ashes will rest near his father.
