For those privileged to know him, Cruz’s steadfast positivity was unmistakable. His motivational spirit and funny, witty nature were a source of comfort and joy for his family and friends. He lived each day as a go-getter, embracing life’s challenges with resolve and an unwavering good humor. Time spent in his yard—a place where love blossomed under the Texas sun—was precious, especially when surrounded by his beloved grandchildren who eagerly joined in on the gardening and games. These simple moments built memories filled with laughter and warmth, ever reminders of Cruz’s devotion to his family.

Cruz’s pride in his family was his greatest accomplishment, one that shaped every facet of his life. He is lovingly survived by his sons, Cruz Molinar III and Marcus A Molinar. The family circle extends to his daughters-in-law, Imelda Molinar and Sasha Molinar, who cherished his kinship and wisdom; his grandchildren Rachel R Molinar, Cruz M Molinar IV, Noelia L Molinar, Michael A Molinar, and Hayden Carter, each of whom felt the special place they held in his heart. Family meant everything to Cruz, and he cultivated bonds marked by encouragement, support, and deep affection. Also mourning his loss is Marianne Solis Kumley, his significant other.

Cruz’s life was marked by service and dedication. As an E5 in the 1st Infantry Division of the US Army, he answered his country’s call with honor and integrity. Outside of work, Cruz had a passion for life’s pleasures—he was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Denver Broncos and loved both the camaraderie of the golf course and the peace of the outdoors. These pursuits, whether shared with friends or family, were sources of cherished relaxation and happiness.

The loss of Cruz is mourned deeply by those whose lives were enriched by his love. He is reunited now with his beloved wife Rachel V Molinar, his son Michael L Molinar, and his granddaughter Alyssa M Molinar, whose memories he held dear and whose presence is sorely missed.

Services celebrating Cruz’s life will be held in the coming days. A visitation is scheduled for June 29, 2026, at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary at 4:30 pm. Funeral services will take place on June 30, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W Pleasant Ridge Rd, Arlington, TX, beginning at 10:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park thereafter, starting at 11:15 am.
