Obituary

Debra Louise Horn, lovingly known as Debbie, passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 71.

Debbie was born on November 26, 1954, to Donald and Peggy Phillips. She spent her early years in St. Louis, Missouri, and later in Bedford, Texas, where she graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1973.

In 1979, Debbie married the love of her life, Robert Horn. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters and a proud and loving Gigi to her two granddaughters.

Debbie was also deeply devoted to her faith. In 1990, she joined her beloved church family at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where she faithfully dedicated 36 years of her life. Her church community was a central part of who she was, and she gave of herself with love, kindness, and devotion.

She is survived by her brother, Steven Phillips, and his wife, Cyndy Phillips; her daughter Abigail Burross and her wife, Brittney Burross, and her daughter Sarah Horn; her granddaughters, Harper and Hazel Burross; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Debbie will be remembered for her loving heart, steadfast faith, and the deep devotion she showed to her family and church. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love, faith, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on Monday June 15th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 5:00 PM. In honor of Debbie's lifelong love for the Texas Rangers, the family kindly invites those attending to wear Texas Rangers apparel or colors.

A funeral Mass celebrating Debbie's life will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Tuesday June 16th at 10:00 AM.

Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Debbie's memory
