Delpha Maurine Pearce, a beloved member of her family, passed away on May 13, 2025, at Heart to Heart Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on April 24, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas to Bill and Nora Jordan Roberts.
Delpha grew up in Kennedale, Texas. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1954. After high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Pearce. They were happily married for over 70 years. She found great fulfillment in her role as a devoted homemaker and wife, having raised multiple generations of her family. Her proudest accomplishments reflect the love and dedication she poured into her family, fostering a nurturing environment that brought comfort to many.
As a Christian, Delpha regularly attended Kennedale Church of Christ and later Rendon Church of Christ, a testament to her faith and dedication to her spiritual community. In her leisure time, Delpha enjoyed gardening, nature, and was an avid reader.
Delpha was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Nora Roberts; siblings, Mary Elrod, WT Roberts, Peggy Maddox, Harold Roberts, and Bobby Dale Roberts; daughter-in-law, Sherry Taylor Pearce; and grandson, Ricky ‘Butch’ Pearce II.
Delpha is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pearce of Fort Worth, Texas; her sons, Curtis Pearce (Vicky Stephens Pearce), of Kennedale, Texas, Rodger Pearce (Kay Henry Pearce) of Saint Jo, Texas; Ricky Pearce of Burleson, Texas, Jimmy Pearce of Fort Worth, Texas; her daughter Dena Casbeer of Fort Worth, Texas; and a vibrant lineage of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, May 21, 2025, at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale-Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060, with burial to follow.
Delpha’s warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, and her lasting impact will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be remembered with love.
