Aurora Dora Jimenez

August 24, 1938 — March 27, 2024

Kennedale

Aurora Jimenez 85, of Kennedale, Texas went to be with Jesus on Wednesday March 27,2024.
Dora was born on August 24,1938 in Smiley, TX
She would eventually grow up and marry her best friend Domingo Jimenez of 62 years until he was called home in October of 2021.

Dora loved visiting family and friends but what she enjoyed most was having them over for a home cooked meal, gathered around the table, catching up on life and sharing laughs. On the weekends you could find her working in her yard planting roses, mowing, painting, swinging on the front porch and on Sundays attending church.

Dora was an active member of Saint Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, TX. She attended every weekend with her husband until her illness (dementia) eventually caused her to no longer attend in-person. However, her faith was strong, and she continued to be a prayer warrior, praying for all.

Dora had lots of hobbies and interests, but her favorite thing was listening to music and dancing. She loved all kinds of music, but her favorite was Tejano. She loved dancing to cumbias. Even in her later years you could still find her singing and dancing in the kitchen. Dora loved her 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was a loving Mother, but she will tell you her greatest blessings called her grandma. She will be dearly missed by all, but we know she is made new and in the arms of her Savior. Dora is also reunited with those that went before her and the love of her life, Mingo.

Dora is survived by her daughters Sylvia Pizana (Jimenez), Teresa Jimenez, Dianna Gonzales Jimenez and her two son-in laws, Raul Pizana & Jesus (Junior) Gonzales. Her grandchildren: Aaron Pizana & wife Stephine; Amanda Pizana, Miranda Pizana-Campbell and husband Scott, Olivia Pizana, Adrian & Anthony Pizana, and Raymond & Rene Garcia. Her great grandchildren: Diego Ramirez & Zoe Pizana.

Preceded in death: Parents: Manuel Pompa and Victoria Pompa (Rivera). Her brothers & sister: Twin brothers Cisto & Nicko Pompa, Jose Pompa, Candelario Pompa, and sister Esther Pena (Pompa).
