FORT WORTH -- Dorothy C. Holcomb, 81 went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
She was very active throughout her life. She bowled every week, and was a member of S.A.L.T. and AARP. She loved her church family and playing the organ. She was at her best when the family all got together. She was a vibrant, devoted mother and grandmother, and had a zest for life and a unquenchable compassion for family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Holcomb; son, Charley Strawn; and grandson, Justin Huffman.
Survivors: Children, Suzanne Austin, Judy Strawn, Nancy and Bill Simpson, Milo and Babs Strawn, Don and Susan Holcomb, Larry Bob Holcomb and Kevin Hankins, David and Phyllis Holcomb and Art Strawn; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
