Edward Lee Bradshaw, 86, passed away on March 20, 2023, at Universal Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on September 25, 1936, in Center, Texas to Elton Pearl Bradshaw and Vera Sanford Bradshaw
Edward grew up in Center, Texas. He graduated from Center High School in 1954. He attended The University of Texas Arlington in Arlington, Texas where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting. Edward joined the Air Force in 1958 and served for 4 years. He began work for Santa Fe Railroad in Fort Worth as a payroll clerk where he worked for 4 years. He then moved to Tyler, Texas where he worked as an accountant for Delta Drilling Oil Company for 10 years. He ended his career in accounting and retired from The City of Tyler in 1993.
Edward married Brenda Schaefer in 1963 in Kennedale, Texas. They were happily married for 60 years. He was a member of Shiloh Road Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas. His hobbies and interests included fishing, hunting and yard work.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Edward is survived by his spouse, Brenda of Bedford, Texas; daughters, Tami (Angus) Pool of Longview, Texas and Teri Bradshaw of Bedford, Texas; granddaughters, Brittany (Hunter) Sipes and Brooke Pool; great-granddaughter, Willow Sipes.
A graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25th. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home – 500 Kennedale Sublette Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060 Friday March 24th from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
