Esteban Alonzo Garcia

December 28, 1960 - September 5, 2025

Esteban Alonzo Garcia, known as Steve, was born on December 28, 1960 in Waco, TX to Ben and Juanita Garcia. He loved his mother’s cooking and his outings at the lake fishing with his father. A true outdoorsman at heart he loved time on the water fishing, camping, and tending to his garden. Evenings around the grill brought him joy, as did watching a good game or movie while relaxing at home watching the birds and hummingbirds at his feeders. His greatest joy came from sharing his passions with his children and grandchildren, teaching them how to fish, play darts, plant vegetables, and celebrate holidays with fireworks. He was always patient and proud to pass down his knowledge. He made holidays magical because of his playful spirit by dressing up as the Easter Bunny and Santa to delight the little ones, bringing smiles and laughter to all. Known for his big heart, he never met a stranger, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. Esteban graduated from University High School in Waco, TX in 1979 as well as Texas State Technical College where he received his HVAC Refrigeration Technician Certification and later on his HVAC Refrigeration License so he could start his own business. Esteban was very passionate in his role as a HVAC Refrigeration Technician at Triumph Group previously known as Northrop Grumman/Vought Aircraft Industries where he worked for over 25+ years and maintained the systems for advanced defense and aerospace technologies, particularly its expertise in producing stealth aircraft. Esteban met his wife, Guadalupe in November of 1996 at Desperados in Dallas, TX where they played Tejano music. They married in October of 2002 and were married for 22 years. Together, he and his wife shared many special moments, from traveling, having dinners at Mac’s to evenings spent dancing or working side by side in their garden. She will deeply miss his presence but will forever cherish the memories they created together. Esteban had a soft spot for his furry pups, always treating both Sebastian and Xochilt as a loving and valuable family member. Esteban will always be remembered for his ability to fix anything, his dance moves, larger than life smile, his laugh and warm hugs, his phone calls to check on those he loved, and his generosity and caring heart. His greatest pride was passing down traditions, laughter, and lessons that will live on in the hearts of those who love him. Esteban was preceded in death by his parents Ben and Juanita Garcia, his brother Ben Garcia, and his son Ezequiel Ramirez, his brother-in-laws David Gonzales and Narciso Florez Jr., many aunts and uncles and is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Garcia, his children Jennifer Alviso and husband Rolando, Steve Garcia and wife Christine, Freddie Ramirez, Sergio Ramirez and wife Karla, Carolina Brown and husband Jay. He is also survived by his siblings Gloria Gonzales, Daniel (Danny) Garcia and wife Rose, Maria (Connie) Florez, Mary Paz Saucedo, and Gabriel Garcia. Also surviving are his 16 grandchildren, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, his remaining uncle Cruz Garcia, age 85, and wife Pauline from Temple, TX, all of whom were very close to Esteban.
