George Hollins

George Lincoln Hollins, 82, passed away on February 17, 2022 at Medical Center Arlington in Arlington, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1940 in Fouke, Arkansas to Ellic Henry and Sudie Lee Hollins.

George grew up in Lubbock, Texas and attended school there as well. After finishing school, he began working for a bakery. He later went on to be a truck driver and worked/owned muffler shops. He ended his work career as a truck driver before he retired. He was the youth pastor for his church and has always been very active in church activities. He impacted many people’s lives as a youth pastor and would always make sure everyone knew Jesus. He was the most giving man and would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

George married Linda in 1960 in Lubbock, Texas. They were later divorced and George married Carol. Even after their divorce, George and Linda worked together to co parent their great grandson.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Ellic & Sudie Hollins, his sister, Lavern, his brothers, John R., Pete, & Jerry, as well as his great grandchildren Aria Grace & Lincoln David.

George is survived by his daughters, Leanna (Michael) Montez and Myra (Nathan) Castles,  his siblings Don & Evelyn, grandchildren Candace Miller, Rachael (Johnny) McCoy, Stevie (Grant) Watson, Kayla (Jesse Estrada) Montez, Jacob Glenn, great-grandchildren Lilith, Lindsey, Andrew, Hailee, Mason, Casey, Noah, Olivia, Sloan, Jesus, Spencer, Samuel, Savannah, Charlotte, & Shepherd, as well as many other people who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home (500 Kennedale Sublett Rd) at 2pm on Monday, February 21, 2022 with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
