Georgie Benton

Georgie Elizabeth Benton, 94, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas. She was born on December 17, 1926 in Fort Worth, Texas to Ben Sutter and Ollie (Rasco) Sutter.

Georgie grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Poly High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member of Sagamore Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

Georgie married Don in January of 1975 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were happily married for 18 years.

Georgie was preceded in death by her husband, Don Benton; children, Ralph George Henderson, Tony Lynn Henderson, Penny Ann Henderson Chamberlain, Donald C Benton; parents, Ben and Ollie Sutter; siblings, Ben Sutter Jr., JT Sutter, and Maylen Scoggins.

Those left to cherish her memories are children, Paul Henderson, Belinda Henderson, Mary Sue Nicholas, David Benton,, Carol Reyes-Benton, Douglas Benton and wife Susan; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Sagamore Baptist Church 2301 Dottie Lynn Pkwy, Fort Worth, Texas 76120 on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 11:00AM with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, Texas. A come and go visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM.
