Gregory "Ben"
Bostic Sr.
August 11, 1955 – April 27, 2026
On August 11, 1955, Gregory “Ben” Bostic was born to Davie and Mathie Lee Bostic in Como, Texas. In his youth, he attended Como Elementary and later graduated from Arlington Heights High School.
Ben went on to have his precious children Shonenetta, Gregory Jr., Nastassja and Desire and later married the love of his life, Margie Ford (Bostic). His heart was as wide as the open plains.
He found joy whether he was on rodeo grounds, fishing by the lake, singing on his porch, or tending to his animals and land. His rodeo background stuck with him his entire life. It’s his tough, resilient spirit that carried him throughout his health battle. His years of sickness never stopped him from showing up for his friends and family as his true self.
He fought to the end of his journey, and because of his love for his people, he didn’t do it alone. On Sunday, April 26, 2026, Ben was joined by his family and friends at the hospital as he was transitioning to go to his Heavenly home. He spent his final hours around people who loved him. His final hour was shared between him and his loving wife at 10:47am on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Gone before him is his father, Davie Bostic; mother, Mathie Lee Bostic; brothers, David Bostic Jr, Alfred Bostic, Michael Bostic, Rickey Bostic, CJ Bostic; sisters, Annie Johnson, Vanessa Bostic, Lavern Joyce Bostic, Darlene Bostic and Christine Bostic; and grandson, Jaydan Hart.
His legacy will be carried through his wife,, Margie; his children, Shonenetta, Gregory Jr., Nastassja, Desire, Euricka and Paisley; his siblings, Renee and Charles; and his grandchildren, Giselle, Ka’Diedre, Tymberlin, Sean, Jayda, Kevin, Brooklynn, Ya’Mauri, Ja’nah, Kylah, Ny’Asiah, and E’Shawn.
Ben is reunited with his late loved ones and his memory will be cherished through his family, friends, and generations to come.
