Hazel Anita Maddox was born October 30, 1922 in Fort Worth, Texas. She passed away on March 11, 2020 at the age of 97 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Calvin Maddox and Nettie Frances Maddox, four brothers, and her husband of twenty-nine years, Gordon Ray Matthews, Sr.
Hazel is survived by her four children and their wives, Gordon and Crystal Matthews, Barbara and Jim Barrow, Marcus and Janet Matthews and Charles Matthews, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, three nephews and one niece.
