Homer Eugene Davidson Jr., age 74, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Granbury Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation in Granbury, Texas. He was born on September 16, 1951, in Bonham, Texas, to the late Homer and Rose Norman Davidson.
Homer grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, where he attended Haltom High School. In 1969, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving tirelessly for four years. His service took him to places including Cuba and Okinawa, earning him the National Defense Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and a Rifle Sharpshooter badge before receiving an honorable discharge in 1973, achieving the rank of Corporal.
Following his military service, Homer pursued further education at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, where he obtained a diploma as a Computer Repair Technician. He dedicated 30 years of his professional life to Daughters Charity Computer Repair as a technician, retiring in 2001. Homer's commitment to his work exemplified his meticulous nature and strong work ethic.
In 1975, Homer married Jean in Fort Worth, Texas, and they shared a loving marriage that lasted 43 years until her passing. He was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found joy and community. Homer had a deep love for science fiction, often immersing himself in both books and television shows of the genre.
Homer is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, his parents, and his siblings: James Wesley Davidson, David Davidson, and Susan Davidson. He leaves behind cherished memories with his daughters, Wendy Clay and her husband Daryl of Granbury, Texas; his grandchildren: Michelle Jones and her husband Joshua, Daryl Clay Jr., and Phillip Clay; and his great-grandchildren, Juniper Clay and Clover Clay. He is also survived by his brothers, Oscar Davidson and his wife Vicki, and Joe Davidson and his wife Betty.
