James Brock Miller, PA-C, 78, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, August 28, 2022 in Kennedale, Texas.

James was born on May 20, 1944 in Richwood, West Virginia.  He moved to Houston, Texas and attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.  He received his Certification as a Physicians Assistant on August 16, 1974.  In November,  1992, James was Certified as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Magna Cum Laude from Northwood University on April 30, 1995.  James was a Charter Member of the Texas Academy of Physicians Assistants and a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants.

Following graduation, James moved to Austin and worked for the Health Center at the University of Texas.  In 1973, James moved to Denton to work for the University of North Texas, where he met the love of his life, Karen. After moving to Kennedale in 1990, James worked in the Medical Clinic at General Motors in Arlington before joining the practice of Dr. Jacob Rosenstein, North Texas Neurosurgical Consultants, P.A.  James was still working in the office a couple mornings a week.  He loved witnessing to patients who had chronic pain because he himself suffered for years with chronic pain.

James and Karen were married on May 21, 1983 in Denton, Texas.  After moving to Kennedale in 1990, they became members of Tate Springs Baptist Church, where they still worship.

Besides loving spending time with his children and being Grandpa to his 4 grandchildren,  James was also an avid car enthusiast and loved working on and driving his 1964 1/2 Mustang. He loved taking his Mustang to Po Boys Classic Auto Shows and hanging out with his friends in the Club.  He also loved spending time with his Peggy Lane neighbors.

James is survived by his wife Karen; son Elliott Miller and wife Amber; daughter Whitney Miller Alcala and husband Jacob; grandchildren Ella, Liam, Andrew and Willow, and was looking forward to the birth of a new grandson due in November; brother Bob Miller of Herndon, Virginia, many extended family and friends, especially his honorary kids, Dawson  (Daws) and Isabelle.   James was preceded in death by his parents Lester Veon Miller and Hazel Maxine Green Miller.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends.

James loved his Church Home of Tate Springs Baptist Church in Arlington.  In lieu of flowers donations in James’ honor may be made to the Emergency Family Care Fund at Tate Springs
