Joe Don Sikes Sr., 77, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Private burial at a later date. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
Joe loved to coach youth football and baseball, watch and talk sports or about his children with anyone. He loved the Cowboys, Mavs and Rangers. He stood for what was right and good. His wealth was in his generous heart and thoughtful spirit.
Survivors: His wife, JoAnn Sikes; children, Donna Jean, Cindy and Michael Connor, Joe Don II and Sherry Sikes; grandchildren, Tim, Aurielle, Collin, Grant, Storm, T.J. and Marty; great-grandson, Cade; brother, Thomas J. Sikes; nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
