Joel Emmitt Perry, age 71, of Arlington, Texas, passed away suddenly on the evening of April 3, 2026.

Joel was born on June 23, 1954, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Emmitt and Jo Perry. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington in 1972 and was known throughout his life as a hardworking, devoted family man with a memorable personality and a deep love for sports.

On February 11, 1972, Joel married the love of his life, Debbie Perry. Together they shared 54 years of marriage filled with love, family, and lasting memories.

Joel was a proud son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Perry; his two sons, T.J. Perry and his wife Katie and Justin Perry and grandsons James Dylan Perry and Bronx Ryan Perry and Justins stepson Keeton Kendall; his mother, Jo Perry; his brother, Dell Perry; his sister, Christie Willard & his sister-in-law, Cindy Abbott as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emmitt Perry and his Sister Vonnie Johnson.
