Judy K. Tate, 66, passed away on March 11, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on May 10, 1955 in Greenville, Texas to Milton R. Mitchell and Willie Mae (Williams) Mitchell.

Judy grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1974. After high school she:

Attended college at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth.
began work for Sears as a salesclerk where she worked for 5 years. She later went to work as a data clerk for the Fort Worth School district and retired in 2013 after 20 years.
was involved in Church at Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.

Judy married Scott Tate on June 3rd,1977 in Fort Worth. They were happily married for 44 years. Judy was a member of Trentman/Pleasantview Baptist Church for 63 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her dogs, as well as reading and watching old movies.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Milton Mitchell; her brothers, Dennis Mitchell, and Doug Mitchell.

Judy is survived by her husband, Scott Tate of Burleson, Texas; her son, Bradley Tate of Bedford, Texas; her daughter, Shari Tate of Burleson, Texas; her mother, Willie Mae Mitchell of Burleson, Texas; her brother, Milton Ray Mitchell Jr and wife Jeanne of Manassas, Virginia; her brother, Gerald Mitchell and wife Martha of Fort Worth, Texas; her brother, Robert Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; her brother-in-law, Marty Johnston and wife Kathy of Burleson, Texas; her brother-in-law, Tommy Tate and wife Allyson of North Richland Hills, Texas; her brother-in-law, Max Tate of Burleson, Texas; and her nieces and nephews and other relatives as well as Church family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060 at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 19th, 2022. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills, from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 18th, 2022. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills.
