Katherine (Kathy) Suzanne Hickman, 69, passed away on August 29, 2026 at River Grove Health and Rehabilitation in Lenoir City, Tennessee. She was born on December 19, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio to, Hubert Lynford Wendt and Lorine Ellen Hunt.

· Worked for different manufacturing companies. Her most recent job was as a commissary clerk at the local jails in Greyson County, Texas.

Kathy married Clint Hickman Jr. July 14, 1978, in Irving, Texas and they were happily married for 13 years until his passing.

Kathy was an extremely kind, empathetic person. She was strong and overcame any obstacles that were thrown her way. She enjoyed watching movies and playing games on her computer. Sitting on her back porch and loving on her dogs was another favorite part of her life.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert L. and Lorine Wendt; husband, Clint Hickman Jr.; Siblings, Carl Michael Kramer, Orson Wendt, Diana McCoy, and Hubert Wendt.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Stacy Vaughn and her husband, Gary of Maryville, Tennessee; son, Clint Hickman III., and wife Erika of Royse City, Texas; her brother, Chuck Wendt and wife Debi; sisters, Mary Berends, Sandra Ford and husband Bill. Her seven grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas at 2 p.m. September 11, 2026. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills cemetery.
