BURLESON -- Larry R. "Randy" "GaGa" Hurd, 60, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully Saturday, August 2, 2008, surrounded by his family and friends after bravely battling brain cancer. He was a retired forklift mechanic for Stewart & Stevenson. Service:10am Wednesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel, Burial: at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Memorials: Visitation; 6-8pm Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Emery J. Lilge House Community Hospice of Texas at Huguley 301 Medpark Burleson, Tx 76028. The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff and volunteers of the Emery J. Lilge House and the Community Hospice of Texas at Cleburne. Randy was born March 9, 1948 in Fort Worth to George R. Hurd, Jr. and Cora Kammer Hurd. He proudly served in the Army in Vietnam. Randy loved spending time with his family, horses, hunting, and football, especially the Everman Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his father.Survivors:Wife, Pam; daughter, Kristi Bailey; grandson, Ty; mother, Cora Hurd; sister, Ruby Harse; and many neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.
