LaVerne Hallmark was born on May 14th, 1946, in Shamrock, TX to Charlie and Coral Clynch. She passed away peacefully in her home in Arlington, TX on May 13th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be cherished by her family and friends.
LaVerne grew up in Shamrock, TX and graduated from Shamrock High School. After High School she attended beauty school in Lubbock, TX. Although her love for beauty was well known her love for children was her passion. Later in her career she joined the daycare team at Tate Springs which led to her in home day care that she had for many years. She was blessed to take care of and love many children over the years.
LaVerne was proceeded in death by her parents Charlie and Coral Clynch; her brother Bobby Clynch; her daughter LaShaye Boren and her unborn baby boy.
LaVerne is survived by her children Allison Harris, Shannon Comer, Justin Boren and Jordan Boren; her sister Penny Morford; her grandchildren Jonah Boren, Jace Boren and Judson Boren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
LaVerne was known for her beautiful smile and huge heart, which was shown as she played with her grandchildren, spending time with her Sunday school group, visiting with all her family and friends, taking care of others, planting flowers and listening to Elvis. LaVerne’s warmth and generosity touched the lives of many, and her lasting impact will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will forever be remembered with love and reverence.
In honoring LaVerne’s remarkable life, a memorial service will be held at Tate Springs Baptist Church on May 28th at 12:00. A burial will follow at Parkdale Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on May 27th from 5:00-7:00.
