Lawrence Wayne White, 95, passed away on Monday, August 24th, 2020 at his home in Mansfield, Tx. He was born on September 30, 1924 in Lawton, Oklahoma to William Gordon White and Ada Olena (Burke) White.

Lawrence grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma and graduated from Lawton High school in 1942. He enjoyed track and playing football. After high school he joined the US Navy and served 4 years being honorably discharged on March 13th, 1947 with a rank of SFC.

He then joined the Army Reserves and served for 16 years. He was honorably discharged from the Army Reserves on October 17th, 1957 with a rank of M/Sgt.

After his active service he accepted a job as a State Trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He served as an Oklahoma Highway patrolman for 21 years patrolling the interstate highways near the city of Ardmore, OK.

Lawrence married Mary Rosa Kahalehoe on the 22nd day of May,1948. They were happily married for 41 years. She died November 15th, 1989.

He then met and married Betty Jane Bingham on June 25, 1993. They were happily married for 27 years until his death. They enjoyed traveling together with a host of friends.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Betty White of Mansfield, TX., his daughter Adeline Bland of Coleman, OK and husband Dale, stepdaughters Paula Lemley and husband Terry, and Sue Ashby of Mansfield, TX., Grandchildren Lisa Dean and husband Matt, Terri Sewell and husband Stanley, Shannon Bland and wife Denessa, Kristin Cornatzer and husband Lenzy, and Michael Lemley and wife Sara, as well as a host of great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Files.

A Graveside Service will be held at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, TX on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. followed by burial.
