Lois grew up in Grapevine, TX. Living where DFW Airport is today. Her family moved to Farmers Branch, TX. when she started 4th grade, then to Richardson, TX. Where she finished high school in 1959.  Lois married Kenneth Record in March 1961 having 2 children during the marriage. Lois and Kenneth divorced in 1995 and Kenneth passed away in that year.

Lois worked outside the home before, during and after her married life.  She managed apartment communities in Arlington Texas, became the Executor Director of Arkansas House, a personal care facility for the Elderly in 1985. After the death of her mother, Lois moved to Bossier/Shreveport Louisiana. There, she spent many happy hours going to Karaoke and singing her favorite songs.

During the last years of her life, Lois spent countless hours downloading music on her computer working on family trees for relatives and friends. She was very excited to learn about her ancestors being royalty and traced back to King Phillipe of France and also Pocahontas. It was always Lois’s wish that you carry on the tradition of researching your family roots, so that your children know where and who they came from.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pecan Manor Nursing Home.

As a descendent of early Native Americans, Lois quoted the verse from 2nd Samuel, “God is my strength, and power, he maketh my way perfect”.
