Loyd Olsen, 61, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Medical City North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas. He was born on January 21, 1959 in Bossier City, Louisiana to Gerald Olsen and Reba (Anderson).
Loyd grew up in Watauga, Texas. He graduated from Richland High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1977. After high school he began working at Rowe International where he ultimately gained the skills and knowledge that lead to a successful career. In 2001 he went on to build DFW Changer, his own company. His passion for customers created a distinguished reputation for being known as one of the best in the industry.
Loyd married Beth in 1984 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were happily married for 36 years. Loyd was a member of The Met Church where he faithfully served. He enjoyed music, westerns, movies with Christmas Vacation at the top of the list, family vacations and gatherings especially with his grandkids.
Loyd was preceded in death by his Fathers Gerald Olsen and Benny Perry and brother Christopher Olsen.
Loyd is survived by his wife, Beth; mother, Reba; son, Russell and wife Katie; daughters, Crissy and husband Clint, Ashley and husband Mike; brother, Terry; grandsons, Kaden, Landon and Colby; granddaughters, Caylee, Rylie and Jasmine; and many other loving relatives.
A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas at 1:00pm, Thursday, December 17, 2020. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Cemetery. Facial coverings are required to attend the visitation and funeral.
