Marion Sessumes

Marion "Lewis" Sessumes, Jr., 66, went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2024.  Lewis was born on October 29, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Marion Lewis Sessumes and Merle Maxine (Yoakum) Sessumes.  Lewis loved Jesus, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Rock House, watching TV, watching  wrestling, cooking, and eating his favorite dish of fried chicken.  He loved the cats that hung around his apartment, and also enjoyed having hamsters when the apartments would allow it.  He is survived by his mother, Merle Sessumes of Arlington formerly of Decatur, sister-in-law Kia Sessumes of Arlington, nephew Dalton Sessumes of Austin, niece Alaina Lee and husband Wesley Lee of Florida, aunt Martha Fortune of Oklahoma, cousin Nelda Fernandez of California, uncle Mike Smith and wife Tanji Smith of Alvarado, aunt Kathleen Kinnibrugh of Vernon, as well as many other cousins and relatives.  Also in special recognition are Gabrielle Watts and Latasha Williams with Rock House, and Joyce Wallace, formerly with Rock House, who were all special people to Lewis.  He is preceded in death by his father, Marion Lewis Sessumes Sr., and brother Mark Alan Sessumes.  Lewis will be missed by many.  There will be a celebration of life service at the graveside at Emerald Hills Cemetery, Kennedale, Texas on March 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
