Mary Durham

Mary Durham, 90, passed away on August 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 11, 1933, in Cameron, Tx, to Reyes and Candelaria Mendoza.

Mary married James Archie Durham on December 2, 1955, in Fort Worth, Tx. They were happily married for 47 years.

Mary grew up in Everman, Tx and attended Everman schools. She worked for Gearhart, Owens, and Halliburton in inspections, where she retired at age 69 ½.

Mary was a member of the Wedgwood Nazarene Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, horse races, and going to the casinos, but her biggest hobby was her family.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James Archie Durham; parents, Reyes and Candelaria Mendoza; siblings, Herminio Mendoza, Joe Angel Mendoza, Margarito Mendoza, Reyes Mendoza Jr, Domingo Mendoza, and Mary and Mathews.

Mary is survived by children, Teresa (Ricky) Leon, Kathy (Bobby) Sims, Jerry Durham, Linda Gabbard, James (Lori) Durham; siblings, Robert Mendoza, Tillie Salas, Barbara Martinez; grandchildren, Bridgette Leon, Brandee (Troy) Baker, Ricky Leon III, Dustin (Elena) Sims, Chelsea (Alex) Brensike, Mikey (Haley) Gabbard, Crystal (Zack) Lorance, Ariceli Carranza, Jeremy (Valerie) Durham, Jerry (Brenda) Durham, Archie Durham, Sabrena Durham, Lacey Durham, Desirae Durham; 25 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Kennedale, Tx 76060 on September 6, 2023, at 2:30pm. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on September 5, 2023, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.
