On November 15, 1937, the Lord allowed a little songbird, Mildred Louise Briscoe Dears to land on this earth to parents, Maggie and Milford Briscoe. She was truly a gift from God to so many people. She loved singing. She would sing and whistle around the house. Her mother would get onto her about whistling. She kept on singing wherever she went. Her singing touched the lives of so many individuals. The Lord saw fit to call her home on April 26, 2024.
Mildred grew up in Mansfield, Texas. At the age of 18, she graduated from I.M. Terrell High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was actively involved in the choir, BTU, Sunday School, VBS, Mission work and bible study until her health started to fail. She loved writing, especially poetry. Some of her poems were published.
Mildred married Willie Nathaniel Dears, Sr. at the age of 19. To this union, seven children were born.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Sr., her parents, Maggie and Milford, her siblings, Edna Mae Bivens, William and Leonard Briscoe and a daughter, Barbara Poux.
