Nick Ruiz Gomez Jr., a dedicated lifetime mason known for his pursuit of perfection and beauty in his craft, passed away on April 6, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. Born in Nixon, Texas, on January 23, 1944, Nick's legacy transcends his work as a mason and extends to the lives he touched with his warm personality and unwavering faith.
Nick was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed grilling for his family, fishing in the great outdoors, and above all, attending church every Sunday. His dedication to spreading the teachings of Jesus and saving souls was evident in all aspects of his life. Nick's kindness, compassion, and friendly demeanor left a lasting impact on those around him.
Beyond his professional and religious pursuits, Nick had a zest for life. He was known for spinning the best jokes that never failed to bring laughter to those around him.
One of Nick's proudest accomplishments was his enduring marriage to the love of his life, Mary Gomez. Together they formed a strong bond that served as an example of love and commitment to their children and grandchildren.
Nick is survived by his son Danny Gomez; daughters Sylvia Medina and Juanita "Nancy" Gomez; grandchildren Valerie, Daniel, Vanessa, Victoria; Elisha; Danny; Manny; along with 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Services to honor the life of Nick Ruiz Gomez Jr. will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Kennedale on April 16th for visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Arlington on April 17th for the funeral service starting at 10:00 AM.
