Nina Elizabeth (Liz) Wernig Pyles, age 68, of Kennedale left this world for her heavenly reward on Monday, February 3, 2020.

Liz was a beloved wife of the late Joe Pyles, mother of Steve (Brandy) and Chris (Kathy); daughter of the late Edward and Louise Wernig; sister of Kendall, Louise, Michael, Joseph and Patrick Wernig; grandmother of Maddie, Maggie, Lainee, Austin and Ryan Pyles and mom to numerous fur babies.

Liz grew up in Vienna, Virginia, attending Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC), Thoreau Intermediate and graduated from James Madison High School Class of 1970.  She married Joe in January 1972 and moved to Kennedale, where they built their life together and raised their sons.  Liz’s career began with C&P Telephone in Northern Virginia.  She then transferred to Southwestern Bell (SWB) in Fort Worth, retiring in 2002 after 30 years of service.

Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Pyles Life of Celebration at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:30PM with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SPCA https://secure.aspca.org/donate.

We take comfort knowing she is now at peace and forever with the love of her life.
