CLEBURNE -- Omah Jean Gossett, 88, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Emerald Hills Funeral Home. Interment: at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Omah Jean Gossett was born on Oct. 14, 1928, to Harl and Omah Teague. She was raised on a family farm in Mercury, Texas where the Oak tree in the yard was the geographic center of Texas and flew the Texas flag. Omah married Mannie Gossett in November of 1946. They were married 58 years until his passing in 2004. They loved to travel and tent camped in 49 states. They also traveled to Brazil and Europe. Jean was a writer of poetry and 3 books and she also loved to garden. She dearly loved her 2 sons and their wives, and her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Mannie Gossett.
Survivors: Survived by her sons, Kenneth Gossett and wife, Cathy and Monty Gossett and wife, Darla; grandchildren, Zoe, Morgan, and Ike; and great-grandchild, Jaden.
