Patricia Leann Vaughn

Patricia Leann Vaughn of Roanoke, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of those who cherished her most. Born on July 19, 1968, in Altus, Oklahoma, Leann was a woman of quiet strength, deep compassion, and heartfelt wisdom. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, teacher, and friend—someone whose presence brought comfort and whose love left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Throughout her career in education, she poured her heart into guiding and inspiring others. Teaching was more than a profession to her; it was a calling. She dedicated herself to helping her students believe in their own abilities, celebrating each success as if it were her own. Even in retirement, she continued to share her knowledge and humor with those around her, carrying warmth, patience, and grace into every space she entered.

Leann lived with courage and integrity, facing every challenge with honesty and determination. She gave her best even in difficult times and wanted to be remembered not with sadness but with gratitude for the love, laughter, and lessons she shared. Her life was defined by the care she offered so freely, listening when others needed to be heard, standing firm for what mattered most, and showing love in gentle and steadfast ways.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Vaughn; her daughter, Emily Shim, and son-in-law, Jay Shim; her mother, Patsy Combs; her siblings, Jimmy Combs, Christi Pollard King, and Rocky Combs; and her dearest lifelong friends, Michael Quan, Todd Hostiuck, and Karyn Murphy—each of whom shared laughter, adventures, and a bond that enriched her life immeasurably.

Leann’s legacy is one of love, perseverance, and compassion. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered for the joy she brought, the wisdom she shared, and the strength she instilled in all who continue to carry her beautiful spirit forward.
