Patsy Ruth Powell, 81, passed away on August 5, 2021 at Mansfield Methodist Hospital in Mansfield, Texas. She was born on July 9, 1940 in Stephenville, Texas to Wayne Savage and Evie Shelton Savage.

Patsy grew up in Fort Worth.   She graduated from Fort Worth Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1958.  After high school she began working for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin where she retired after 35 years in Technical Publications.

Patsy married Kenneth Powell in 1962 in Denton, Texas. They were happily married for 59 years. Patsy was active in a Pokeno group for 20 plus years where she enjoyed wonderful friendships.  The Pokeno group also traveled on exciting vacations. She loved traveling and especially loved going on cruises with her family and friends. She was a member of Retta Baptist Church in Rendon, Texas.  She was also very involved with her children, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Evie Savage.

Patsy is survived by her spouse Kenneth Powell of Mansfield, Texas; children, Toi Biondi and husband Mark of Burleson; Bobby Powell of Alvarado; brother, Donald Savage of Everman; grandchildren, Misti Griese and husband Mike, Jacob Martini, Mark, Jr. Biondi and wife Jacy, Joshua Martini, Casey Coy and husband Jimmy, Katlin Powell and husband Austin, Kyle Powell; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Jayce, Cannon, Alexa, Ava, Caden, Harleigh, Lucas, Grayson, and (on the way) Kennedy; nephews, Shawn and Shane Savage; and numerous cousins.

A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd., Kennedale, Texas 76060 on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service for Patsy will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00AM at Emerald Hills Memorial Park with interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Carol from Vitas, Mansfield Methodist Hospital, Mansfield First Responders, Cedar Bluff Memory Care, Our Place Restaurant and Ed Lowe from Retta Baptist Church.
