Raymond Ogle
FORT WORTH -- Raymond Ogle, 87, passed from this world into the Lord's hands Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Raymond enjoyed fishing and hiking. He was a wonderful storyteller and kept us all spellbound. He loved John Wayne movies, music and singing, but he was at his best when he saw new life through his grandchildren's eyes. He met his wife, Ruth, by being pen pals, and met her in person and asked for her hand on their second date. That was over 54 years ago. His personality was fueled by the fascination he felt for life.
Survivors: Wife, Ruth; son, Kenneth and Betty Ogle; daughters, Mary and Brian Balch and Betty Beasley; grandchildren, Bobby and Rachal Ogle, Joshua, Jeremy, Jennifer and Jonathan Beasley and Holly Balch; great-grandchildren, Paige and Rainey Ogle; sister, Pat Cooker; his cat, Pretty Boy; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
