Robert Jefferson (R.J.) Lackey, of Kennedale, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Funeral Service is 2 p.m. Monday, April 3, 2017 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, Kennedale.
R.J. was born in Haskell, Texas. He moved to Tarrant County, where he raised his family and retired from Bell Helicopter. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bea Lackey; parents, John and Beulah Lackey; 6 siblings; and granddaughter, Teresa Soward.
He is survived by his daughter, Pat Hall and husband, Les; son, Bob Lackey and wife, Debbie; stepsons, Buddy Watson, Gerald Watson and wife Elois; 4 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
