FORT WORTH -- Roswell "Brooks" Davis, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 3, 2007.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel, Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 19, 1922, in Lillian to Manley and Nancy Davis. He was the oldest of three children. He retired from the city of Fort Worth Parks Department after 30 years of service. He served in the Marines. He enjoyed life, he used his time helping others by performing lawn care and doing good deeds for his neighbors and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Leona Davis;his parents; infant sister, Anna Marie; and brother, M.J. Davis.
Survivors: Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Rosa Seback and husband, Jim; grandsons, Billy Wayne Sterner and wife, Michelle, and Shane Sterner and wife, Becky; brother-in-law, L.E. Triplett; many nieces and nephews; a host of other family and friends; and his beloved dog, Tony.
