Ryan Key

Ryan Key, beloved son, grandson, brother, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 19. Born on March 13, 2007, in Arlington, Texas, Ryan touched the lives of everyone who knew him, bringing laughter, love, and unforgettable memories wherever he went.

Ryan had a passion for anything with speed and adventure. He loved riding dirt bikes, mudding, fast cars, and spending time doing the things that made him happy. He had a special love for his dog, Skye, and most of all he loved his family. Ryan was known for his humor, his big personality, and the way he cared for the people closest to him.

Ryan’s family was at the heart of his world. He is survived by his mother, Lauren Cornell; brother, Matthew; His grandfather, Eric Cornell, and grandmother, Roxanne Cornell; uncle Christopher Cornell; aunt Taylor Zachary; cherished cousin and lifelong friend Andrew Cornell, Favorite cousins , Emma, Aubree, and Colton Cornell.  Each of these individuals shared a unique and irreplaceable bond with Ryan, enriched by his warmth, humor, and infectious zest for life.

Ryan also carried the memory of family who have gone before him, including his great-grandfather Robert Cornell, great-grandmother Darlene Cornell, great-grandfather Alvin Rupe, great-grandmother Sue Rupe, and aunt Pamela Smith. Their legacies live on in the stories and traditions that shaped Ryan’s upbringing and spirit.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park, located at 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with burial commencing at 3:15 p.m. at the same location.
