Sabrina Kaye Moulaud, 70, passed away on July 17, 2025 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, TX. She was born on November 30, 1954 in Dallas, TX to Willie Don Johnson, Sr. and Christine Blanton Pearson.
Sabrina grew up in Dallas, TX. She attended Madison High School (drill team), Lincoln High School (cheerleader), but graduated from Skyline High School in 1972. After high school she:
attended University of Northern Iowa in City Falls, Iowa & University of North Texas in Denton, TX.
member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (initiated in a Citywide Chapter in Iowa)
began work for West Dallas Community Centers (WDCC) as a Dance & Theatre Instructor, where she taught acting, jazz, tap, ballet, and African dance for many years.
later in life she transitioned into the field of education, where she worked at T.W. Brown Middle School, Lincoln High School, Desoto West Middle School, and retired from Desoto High School where she worked with special needs children.
was involved with the Third World Players Theatre Company (The Black Academy of Arts & Letters) along with her own dance company, Kukosa Kunga “The Missing Link.”
She enjoyed dancing, helping others & Monday nights with her Bible Study Fellowship sisters.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her mother Christine Pearson & brother, Willie Don Johnson, Jr.
Sabrina is survived by her father Willie Don Johnson, Sr.; her daughter and son Jameelah Johnson of Desoto, TX and Hassan Johnson (Carmen) of Arlington, TX; her sisters Belinda Davis, Kathy Roberts, Bridget Whitaker, Ashanti Johnson-Turner, Akilah Johnson, Aisha Johnson; her grandchildren Marley and Ivy Johnson; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home at 2pm on August 2, 2025.
