Scott Thomas Dearth. 63, passed away on June 09, 2025 at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on April 14th, 1962, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Duane and Audrey Arrington Dearth.

Scott grew up in Gilboa, Ohio. He graduated from Pandora in Pandora, Ohio in 1980. After graduating, Scott lived in Lima for a time where he began working for Anderson Guard Rail which eventually turned into Trinity Industries. He moved to Texas in 1986 and continued to work for Trinity Industries for 44 years. He attended UTA when he moved down here and got his associates degree. Scott strongly believed in helping people and doing his Christian duty. Some of the charities he regularly donated to were Doctors Without Borders, St. Jude, Wounded Warrior Project, as well as food banks and several cancer organizations.

Scott married Robin Erby on June 6th, 1988, in Arlington, Texas. They were married for 28 years before divorcing in 2016, they remained friends for the rest of his life. Scott was a member of Lake Arlington Baptist Church. He enjoyed photography, reading, history, genealogy, music, storytelling, as well as watching movies and playing video games, his favorite being Stardew Valley.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Audrey Dearth.

Scott is survived by his daughters, Cigi Dearth, Arlington, TX and Alison Dearth, Arlington, TX. His two siblings, Linda England, Findlay, OH and Steve Dearth, Findlay, OH. His Nieces, Nikki Sporrer, Lisbon, IA, Megan Sullivan, Beaver Creek, OH, and his nephews, Corey England-Montz, Riegel, OH, Jeremy Dearth, Pandora, OH, and Jared Dearth, Athens, GA.

A memorial service will be held in both Texas and Ohio, location and date to be determined. \
