Shirley Byrd

Shirley Ann Byrd, 79, passed away on October 28, 2020 at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Shirley was born on September 28, 1941 in Caddo Lake, Texas to John and Willie Zenabia Gerald Griffis. Shirley grew up in East Texas and she married Burney Byrd in October 1960 and they were married for 60 years.

Survivors include her husband, Burney of Fort Worth; children, Burney Ray and wife Karan of Waxahachie, Texas and Tammy Brown and husband Terry of Burleson, TX; 4 grandchildren, Tristan and Josh and Christa from Waxahachie and Kayla and Tommy Baker of Keene, TX and Shauni and Brandon Lovell of Carthage, TX; Nine great grandchildren, Trista Byrd of Waxahachie, Texas, Tori Ball, Addison and Tommy Baker of Keene, Texas and Lee, Ethan, ShyAnne, Sierra and Selina Lovell from Carthage, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 4th at 2 PM at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
