Terry was born on November 14, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, and moved as a child to San Antonio. There, she attended John Marshall High School and met her future husband, Bob. Following graduation, Terry returned to Fort Worth with her family and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at Texas Wesleyan College, graduating in 1977.
Initially working at Arlington Memorial Hospital, Terry soon chose to focus on raising her two sons. When they entered school, she transitioned to a fulfilling career teaching young children in Pre-K for over 20 years. Many of her students, some of whom remain in touch today, were touched by her dedication. She left her mark at Fielder Road Baptist Church Early Childhood Center and Gideon Elementary in Mansfield ISD.
In 1976, Terry and Bob married in Fort Worth. They built a life together in Arlington for over 40 years. After retirement, they moved to their vacation home in Granbury before ultimately moving closer to family in the Austin area in 2022.
Terry's passion for fabric arts, including quilting, cross-stitch, needlepoint, and more, filled her life with creativity. She had a dedicated sewing room in her Austin home, but her greatest joy in recent years came from her grandchildren. She eagerly awaited their arrival and lovingly prepared a dedicated room filled with games, toys, and books. She embraced the role of "Grammy" wholeheartedly.
Terry leaves behind a loving family that she was very proud of: her husband of 48 years Robert (Bob), son Kyle and wife Amy, granddaughters Abigail and Emilia of Austin; son Colin and wife Amanda, granddaughter Lucy and grandson Charlie of Round Rock; and brother Johnny White of Fort Worth.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth (Bess) White and James R (Bob) White and grandson Adam.
