KENNEDALE -- Verlin Lee Arter Sr., 72, a retired printer, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 14, 2007.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Verlin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was born June 15, 1934. He was a graduate of TCU and a successful entrepreneur who owned and operated Southern Screen Printing.
The light of his day was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved being at the lake house in Granbury fishing, or at a train show looking at Lionel trains. He loved and served the Lord as a member of the FBC of Kennedale for over 40 years.
Survivors: Wife, Harlene Walls Arter; sons, Lee and Beverly Arter, Michael and Dallas Arter; daughter, Janice and Tom Cooley; grandchildren, Aaron and Evan Arter, Lauren and Tyler Arter and Nathan, Kristen and Morgan Cooley; and a host of other family members and friends.
